Google Maps updates will make EV chargers easier to find
Google Maps is undergoing a series of updates geared towards enhancing its functionality in locating and accessing electric-vehicle (EV) chargers, the company said mid-April.
Addressing the challenge of pinpointing charging stations within complex environments like multilevel parking lots, Google Maps will introduce AI-powered summaries based on insights gleaned from user reviews. These summaries will offer detailed directions to the exact location of EV chargers, looking to facilitate better navigation and implementation.
Additionally, those leaving reviews about chargers will now be prompted to provide specific details such as plug types available and wait times, enhancing the usefulness of charger information for others.
