Nissan wants Ariya EV to be first car to drive from North to South Pole
Carmaker Nissan and adventurer Chris Ramsay are joining forces to attempt the world’s first vehicular voyage from pole to pole.
The journey from magnetic North to magnetic South has never been done before in any vehicle, including gas-powered ones, and now the Japanese manufacturer wants to see if an EV can pull off the feat.
Beginning in March of next year, Scotsman Ramsay will navigate across 27,000 km of terrain ranging from snowy glaciers to rocky mountain climbs in a modified Ariya e-4ORCE.
