Musk confirms Tesla Full Self-Drive Beta has hit Canada
Tesla has activated its “Full Self-Drive” Beta (FSD Beta) software in some Canadian cars, according to a Tweet from brand daddy Elon Musk.
his means that some drivers will now be able to plug in a destination to their Tesla’s navigation system and have the car travel there (sort of) autonomously.
[The system is not fully self-driving at all, in fact, and requires the driver to pay complete attention to the road and keep one hand on the steering wheel, as in Level 2 autonomous systems, so that they can take over from the software at any time. —Ed.]
