Electric Maserati GranTurismo prototype takes a photo-op drive around town
Maserati rolled a new fully electric GranTurismo prototype out of its Innovation Lab and took it for a brief spin around the streets of Modena, Italy this week.
Photographs released by the brand provide a first good look at the camouflaged coupe. Following a 12-year run for the first-gen GranTurismo from 2007 to 2019, the second-generation car will be the brand’s first ever all-electric vehicle.
“Ahead of the launch of the new model, the prototype cars are currently undergoing a period of intensive road and circuit testing, in various conditions of use, to acquire vital data for the preparation of the final setup,” the brand wrote in a release.
