The electric 2022 Mazda MX-30 will arrive in Canada this fall

Mazda mid-April set a date for the imminent arrival of its first mass-produced battery electric vehicle to Canada. The 2022 Mazda MX-30 is scheduled to land here this fall, beginning with dealerships in Quebec and British Columbia. 

The BEV is fitted with a new powertrain made up of a 35.5-kWh lithium-ion battery capable of sucking up 80 per cent charge in around 36 minutes using DC fast-charging; and a front-wheel-drive AC synchronous electric motor making 107 kW (147 horsepower) and 271 Nm (200 lb-ft of torque).
